Powerless

His absence is noticed,

His presence is missed,

It seems that nobody else cares,

And it feels like I am alone.

It makes my heart pound,

It makes my stomach heavy,

There’s a knot in my throat,

And a pain behind my eyes.

It affects me so greatly,

It makes me anxious all the time,

I can’t change a thing,

And I am powerless.
