She tells me I’m not worth it,
She tells me I can’t do it,
She tells me there’s no point,
She sits there, makes herself at home, and tells me I won't be missed,
She tells me I’m a burden.
Sometimes I fight her,
Sometimes I push her away,
But somehow, she always comes back,
And she comes back with hateful words.
She tells me I'm a failure,
She tells me that it’s my fault,
She makes everything harder than it needs to be.
She is silent and invisible and she overwhelms me,
But this is a battle that I intend to win.
